I’ve been at Shield Crest golf Course since I was 6 years old. That is when I took my first golf lesson. Since my grandparents live on the golf course, I would take their golf cart to my lessons. That is when whoever was working, I would help them clean the golf carts. I would also bug the maintenance crew and help them when I could. I did this every summer and after school and weekends. When I turned 14, I was hired to work at Shied Crest to do many things. I’ve parked golf carts, worked in the pro shop and last summer I worked on the maintenance crew. There I learned multiple things, such as mowing the fairways, greens and learning the water systems. I’m 16 now and looking forward to being a part of the Shield Crest crew.
